It is an archipelago of three small islands or the Gili triplet islands — Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air — just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia.
These islands are popular tourist destinations for tourists. Each island has several small resorts, usually consisting of a collection of huts for tourists, small pools and restaurants. Most of the locals live in Trawangan in the town that runs along its eastern flank in the interior (which is also where the latest developments took place).
